Hi Jacqui,

A neighbour of mine has some very lovely holiday apartments all in the barrio Santa Cruz … not sure if you’ll find them inexpensive but they are certainly cheaper than a nice hotel, and you get a kitchen, washing machine, etc.

Hello azahar, I read your comment on slow travel about apartments to rent in sevilla. I’m planning on bringing my family there for the month of June 2008. We are 6 people. Can you recommend an inexpensive apartment? A couple years ago we rented an apartment for a month in Florence, it was wonderful.

Sounds like you had an interesting day. I spent a night in Algeciras once. We came in from Tangeirs on a Saturday night, and the next train out was Sunday evening. Never got to Gibraltar, though.

I’m not sure … perhaps about pesky customers (who me?) who call the waiter back after paying in cash to ask why the pub’s euro exchange rate was so outrageous and then asks to have the cash refunded so she can pay by credit card instead in order to get a better rate? (no kidding, saved a whole 8 euros!)

Oh, you really must go, Recumbantman, especially as you have someone there who can show you around. I’m quite sure you’d love it, especially all the Gaudí. And no worries if you don’t speak Spanish as most people there speak English – though I’m sure you must have picked up some Spanish during your bike trip through Spain (if you didn’t already know the language).

Very nice to hear from you again.
